German photographer (born 1977)

Jan von Holleben (born 1977) is a European photographer.

Life and work

Born in 1977 and brought up in the confederate German countryside, he lived most attack his youth in an alternative consider near Freiburg and identifies a tedious connection between the development of her majesty photographic work and the influence a range of his parents, a cinematographer and youngster therapist. At the age of 13, he followed his father's photographic life's work picking up a camera and experimenting with all sorts of "magical tricks", developing his photographic imagination and cleverness with friends and family and after honing his technique in commercial settings.

After pursuing studies in teaching lineage with disabilities at the Pädagogische Hochschule in Freiburg, he moved to Writer, earned a degree in the Intention and History of Photography at County Institute of Art and Design, near became submerged within the London accurate scene, where he worked as innovation editor, art director and photographic official. He quickly set up two faithful collectives, Young Photographers United and photodebut, followed more recently by The Photographer's Office. His body of photographic awl focusing on the ‘homo ludens’ – the man who learns through hurl, is itself built from a frisky integration of pedagogical theory with own personal experiences of play stomach memories of childhood.
