Monumental 1950's table lamp in get by thrown glazed terracotta with hand whitewashed gilt decoration by famed Italian potter Ugo Zaccagnini. The designs feature elegant ruins, village, and trees/foliage, and evenhanded very reminiscent of art work strip Piranesi and design from Piero Fornasetti. Great oversized scale- a wonderful observer piece.
